Hello everyone, I am new to the world of vinyl and picked up a pro-ject debut carbon and some Technics speakers models sb-a28 (for free!). There RMS is 120W and I have read that it is smart to get a receiver / amp that has a little more wattage output than the speaker? For example my speakers are 120W RMS so I should get an amp/receiver that has 150Watts/per channel (roughly)?? I have been looking online and I have not been able to find a receiver with more than 80 watts... (used and fairly cheap in city of toronto) which has added to the confusion. I do not need an extremely loud system or anything, just something that works and sounds right, I have been looking at the Sansui 551 which I believe has 17 watts / per channel.. very low I gather for my speakers? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. PS The speakers are 8 Ohms and I know to get a receiver the same! (8ohms)
